On a crisp November day in the Rocky Mountains, I found myself board of laying inside while healing from a major stomach surgery. I stumbled outside to sit by the river, under a massive pine tree, hoping for fresh air and peaceful moments photographing the river. I gently sat on a bed of pine needles when
I heard a noise coming from the path I had just walked. I turned to find a large Bull Elk had followed me down the path and was pushing his head through the branches to see what I was doing. I was sure he would tilt his head and empale me on his antlers. We sat silently, me holding my breath, while gazing in each others eyes. Unsure I would survive the encounter, I snapped a series of photos not caring if they were focused or he too close. I finally lightly exhaled, the bull slowly stepped back and calmly continued on his walk past me and down the hill to the river. After a brief moment too collect myself and gather strength to stand, I stumbled back inside and instantly fell asleep. When I awoke, I was sure it was all a dream, until I asked my kids to bring my camera.
I have never felt so at peace, connected and protected as I did in that moment of sitting silently to hear the earth speak to me through our ancestors and brother elk. I have created the Mandalas to share these moments with you.
Over 6 years in the creative process,
These Mandalas bring Hope, Healing & Guidance in a beautiful representation of the gifts the Spirit Animals presented.

Mandalas are the artistic result of the inner mind, body & soul as it interacts with the Spirit Guide in that moment.
Sit quietly and hear the earth speak, our animal brothers bring their gifts for us when we are open to hear them. Native American Vision Quests sites were known for unique spiritual activity. Spirit Animal Guides bring their gifts to guide you on your journey toward fulfilling the unique life you were born to share.
Native American often used Mandalas in their vision quests, to create a symbol of the spiritual journey of healing, hope and vision.
All things are believed to be sentient and everything has their own spirit.
Mandala creations capture a moment in time of the rebalancing of our inner & outer world, creating a oneness with the ultimate unity of the infinite circle called life.
On the simple level this art form represents the unity, harmony, balance of our inner souls or spirit with those of the world around us. In true form a Mandala depicts the cyclic nature of life, each layer hides intricate symbols and designs to tell a story.
With these Spirit Animal Mandala artworks, I share their healing powers with you. As we open our souls to hear what our true gift in the universe is, we find a balance in our world once again. Each of us is part of a cycle of life on earth, connecting with hundreds of lives, many that we are convinced have no importance so we ignore their meaning in our journey. I challenge you to explore what their spirit brings you.
What if those lives we bump into everyday were sent to guide us by giving us vision, hope, healing.
